Airspace & Regulations

Do I need FAA approval for a drone survey on my property?

As an FAA Part 107 certified pilot, Dragonfly Aerial Solutions handles all airspace authorization requirements. You don't need to file anything — we manage waivers, LAANC authorization, and coordination with local airspace as part of every project.

Service Area

What areas do you serve?

We serve Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Minnesota. Our primary service area is the Sioux City metro and surrounding counties, but we regularly travel for larger agricultural and government projects.

Agriculture

What is NDVI mapping and how does it help my crops?

NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) uses near-infrared sensors to measure plant health invisibly to the naked eye. It reveals stress zones, drainage problems, and nutrient deficiencies weeks before they become visible, letting you intervene early and protect yield.

Insurance & Compliance

Are you insured?

Yes. Dragonfly Aerial Solutions carries $1 million in liability coverage on every flight. Certificate of Insurance is available upon request for commercial and government clients.

Inspections

How long does a drone inspection take?

Roof and infrastructure inspections typically take 30–90 minutes on-site. Processed reports with annotated imagery are delivered within 24 hours.

Government

Can you work with government agencies?

Yes. Dragonfly Aerial Solutions is SAM.gov registered and active, making us eligible for federal, state, and local government contracts. Contact us for capability statements.

Deliverables

What deliverables do I receive after a mapping project?

Depending on the service: georeferenced orthomosaic maps, NDVI heat maps, 3D point clouds, elevation models, and a project summary report. All files are delivered via the client portal in industry-standard formats (GeoTIFF, LAS, PDF).
